A Quiet Place: Day One now filming, John Krasinksi shares behind-the-scenes images

Production for the highly-anticipated spin-off of “A Quiet Place,” “A Quiet Place: Day One,” has officially commenced, and producer John Krasinski took to social media to celebrate the start of production by sharing some behind-the-scenes images. The film stars Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn from “Stranger Things” season three, as well as Alex Wolff from “Hereditary.”

While Krasinski directed the previous two films in the franchise, he passed the directorial duties over to Michael Sarnoski, the director of the Nicolas Cage film “Pig.” Sarnoski replaced Jeff Nichols, who was initially attached to write and direct “A Quiet Place: Day One.” The story takes place in the same world as the first two films but doesn’t involve the Abbott family.
