Saban Films has just released the official trailer for Assassin. The action flick serves as one of the very last movies to feature genre legend Bruce Willis before his retirement from acting in 2022.
Up until receiving the aphasia diagnosis that led to his retirement, Willis had still been working frequently, and a handful of movies featuring the actor have since been released. Assassin could become the final feature film to be released starring Willis, and you can see a sneak peek at his performance by watching the below trailer.
The film is directed by Jesse Atlas, who co-wrote the script with Aaron Wolfe. Along with Willis, Assassin stars Nomzamo Mbatha (Coming 2 America), Dominic Purcell (Prison Break), Mustafa Shakir (Cowboy Bebop), Andy Allo (Upload), Hannah Quinlivan (Skyscraper), Fernanda Andrade (Moon Knight), Barry Jay Minoff (The Wiseguy), and Eugenia Kuzmina (Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre).
The official logline for Assassin is as follows:
“A private military operation led by (Willis) invents futuristic microchip tech that enables the mind of an agent to inhabit the body of another person to carry out covert, deadly missions. But when an agent (Mustafa Shakir) is killed during a secret mission, his wife (Mbatha) takes his place in an attempt to bring the man responsible to Justice”.
Assassin will be released in movie theaters, on digital, and on demand on March 31, 2023.
