First Glimpse of Lady Gaga’s Mysterious Role in Upcoming ‘Joker’ Sequel!
Lady Gaga’s character in the upcoming ‘Joker’ sequel has been shrouded in mystery, but fans finally have a glimpse of what’s to come. Director Todd Phillips took to Instagram on Valentine’s Day to share the first-look of Gaga in character.
It’s believed that the pop star will play DC Comics’ character Harley Quinn in the highly-anticipated sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux. Phillips wrote and directed the film, which will see Joaquin Phoenix reprise his award-winning role as Arthur Fleck.

Filming for the sequel is currently underway in New York and Los Angeles, and it is set to hit theaters on October 4th, 2024.
The first ‘Joker’ movie was a surprise hit, grossing over $1 billion and becoming one of the top-grossing DC films of all time.
It followed the story of Arthur Fleck, an aspiring stand-up comedian and clown whose mental health issues cause him to spiral into a life of crime, ultimately becoming the infamous Joker.
‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ is a reference to a medical term for a mental disorder that impacts two or more people. The sequel will be one of the few DC projects that will not take place in the shared DC Universe, as it will be branded as an Elseworlds title.
This means that the film will tell an alternate universe story, allowing for creative freedom and exploration of different characters and storylines.
Lady Gaga previously worked with Todd Phillips on the critically acclaimed film ‘A Star Is Born,’ which he produced. Fans are eagerly anticipating her performance in the upcoming ‘Joker’ sequel, and this first-look photo has only fueled the excitement. With a talented cast and crew, and a track record of success, ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ is shaping up to be another hit for DC and Warner Bros. studios.
