Jonathan Mayors Sentenced after being found guilty

In a recent court ruling, Hollywood actor Jonathan Majors has been sentenced to probation after being found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, British choreographer Grace Jabbari. Majors, known for his roles in Marvel films, faced up to a year in jail but managed to evade incarceration.

The US actor, who was dropped by Marvel following his conviction, will now have to complete a 52-week domestic violence intervention program. Additionally, Majors must continue with mental health therapy as ruled by Justice Michael Gaffey of the state Supreme Court in Manhattan.

Despite the seriousness of the charges, the judge opted for a conditional discharge, emphasizing that both parties in the case agreed that jail time was not warranted. Instead, Majors will undergo the “in-person batterer’s intervention program” in Los Angeles, his place of residence.

The altercation between Majors and Jabbari occurred in a car in New York, where Majors allegedly assaulted Jabbari after she discovered a text message from another woman on his phone. Prosecutors outlined that Majors forcibly grabbed Jabbari, twisted her arm, and hit her in the head to retrieve the phone, resulting in injuries including a fractured finger, bruising, and a cut behind her ear.

Throughout the legal proceedings, Majors maintained his innocence, claiming that Jabbari was the aggressor. However, prosecutors argued that the evidence against him was substantial.

Following the sentencing, Majors did not provide any comments to the media. However, in a recent interview with ABC News, he expressed shock at the guilty verdict and expressed hope for a return to work in Hollywood.
