Michael B. Jordan and Amazon Discussing a Creedverse of Anime, TV Series and Movies
The Rocky franchise has had its fair share of ups and downs over the years, but since the introduction of the Creed spin-off franchise, it has shown no signs of slowing down.
With the recent release of Creed III, which has already become one of the top-performing films in the Rocky saga, it seems that the new franchise helmer, Michael B. Jordan, is ready to take things to the next level with a possible deal with Amazon.
While the Rocky and Creed franchises have always stuck to the traditional cinematic movie route, rumors are now circulating that Jordan has been in talks with Amazon about potential new projects related to Creed. According to Deadline, this could include both a TV series and an anime series linked to the franchise. Additionally, a spin-off based on Adonis Creed’s daughter is also said to be under consideration.
All of this would be in addition to the previously announced MGM Drago spinoff, which would feature Dolph Lundgren reprising his role as Ivan Drago, alongside Florian Munteanu as his son Viktor, last seen in Creed II. While the status of the Drago spinoff remains uncertain, as it received backlash from Sylvester Stallone himself, who still has personal grievances over the rights to the first movie, it seems that Jordan is pushing ahead with new Creed-related projects.
As for Stallone’s involvement, it remains unclear how he will react to the possible expansion of the Creed universe, especially since he has already stepped back from the most recent installment. Regardless, fans of the Rocky franchise and the Creed spin-off can look forward to even more exciting projects in the future.
