Mission Impossible 8 production has reportedly hit a temporary halt due to the ongoing WGA writers strike, as reported by Empire (via /Film).
This delay comes shortly after director Christopher McQuarrie announced the completion of post-production work on Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, ensuring its much-awaited premiere in July. The impact of this filming setback on the scheduled theatrical release date of Dead Reckoning Part Two in 2024 remains uncertain.
Who’s Involved in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning?
Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning, a two-part film series written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie, is set to captivate audiences. The first installment is slated for release on July 12, 2023, followed by the second film on June 28, 2024. Reprising their roles in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning are franchise veterans Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby, and Henry Czerny.
Joining the star-studded cast are newcomers Shea Whigham, Pom Klementieff, and Esai Morales, who will be taking over the villain role originally intended for Nicholas Hoult.
