Mufasa: The Lion King trailer release time announced

The first footage of Barry Jenkins’ Mufasa: The Lion King will be released worldwide on April 29, 2024, between 11 AM and 1 PM  GMT. Promised to debut exclusively on Good Morning America, The Lion King prequel’s trailer will be released during the show’s two-hour duration. This will be its first public release following Disney playing a version of the teaser at CinemaCon earlier this month.

Before the events that saw Simba’s rise to glory, the upcoming prequel brings the origin story of Mufasa to life. It uses similar photorealistic CGI to reveal how Mufasa rose to power before being betrayed by Scar.
