New ‘Scream VI’ Images Preview Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera’s New York City Nightmare

Scream fans, it’s finally here – Scream VI hits theaters this Friday! After months of anticipation and a killer marketing campaign, Ghostface is back and leaving Woodsboro behind for some NYC carnage.

The latest batch of images from the film feature old and new faces in the killer’s blood-soaked path. Melissa Barrera’s character Sam, who some speculate to be the franchise’s new final girl, is front and center. In one image, she’s seen fearing for her life behind a locked gate that leads to Ghostface’s shrine, while in another, she’s being comforted by her neighbor Danny, played by Josh Segarra. The two appear to have a close relationship, but as we know from past Scream films, love interests can’t always be trusted.

Sam’s sister Tara, played by Jenna Ortega, also makes a return and joins her sister and the Meeks-Martin twins, played by Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown, in NYC as they all attend the same college. The survivors of Woodsboro must stick together, but not all of them will make it out alive.

Hayden Panettiere’s fan-favorite character Kirby also makes a comeback, and we see her actively hunting down Ghostface with the help of Detective Bailey, played by Dermot Mulroney. Tony Revolori plays Jason, a new character who appears to be getting a call from Ghostface and attends the same college as the other characters.

Of course, the images wouldn’t be complete without a few shots of Ghostface themselves. We see the killer trying to make their way through a blocked door and about to strike in an abandoned movie theater. The most interesting shot features a row of Ghostface masks being projected onto a ripped screen, representing each film in the franchise.

Scream VI promises to deliver on the scares and thrills that fans have come to love from the series. With a new, more brutal Ghostface taking center stage, it’s sure to be a wild ride. So mark your calendars for March 10th and get ready to scream!
