The actor Jonathan Majors has been arrested by the New York Police Department for alleged domestic violence, following a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman on Saturday.
According to the NYPD’s statement, police responded to a 911 call on Saturday morning at a Chelsea apartment, where a preliminary investigation found that the 33-year-old male was involved in a domestic dispute with the woman, who reported that she was assaulted.
The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
Majors’ representative told Vulture, “He has done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up.” However, the actor was arrested on charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment.
He was placed in custody without incident, and the case will now proceed through the legal system.
