Oscars 2023: Nigerian Singer Tems Gets Backlash For Her View-Blocking Dress

TEMs, the Nigerian Grammy Awards winner and singer, who was also a nominee for the 2023 Academy Awards, is facing backlash for her outfit at the Oscars held on March 12th, 2023, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

TEMs wore a beautiful white gown from Lever Couture designed by Lessja Verlingieri to the awards ceremony. However, her headpiece has been deemed selfish and disrespectful by some, as it obstructed the view of the attendees who sat behind her.

Despite the backlash, TEMs’ outfit was still stunning, and it’s essential to note that fashion is subjective, and everyone has the right to express themselves through their style. Nonetheless, it’s crucial to consider how one’s outfit or accessories might affect those around them, especially in public events like the Oscars. In the end, it’s all about finding a balance between personal style and being considerate of others.
