Starz has confirmed the commencement of production on Outlander Season 8, setting the stage for the series’ upcoming conclusion. This news comes ahead of the Season 7 premiere scheduled for this November.
The announcement of the production update was made through a new video featuring the main cast of Outlander as they explore the set and reflect on their time with the series. Season 8 marks the conclusive installment of the beloved sci-fi historical drama.
Based on Diana Gabaldon’s bestselling novel series, Outlander weaves together romance, science-fiction, history, and adventure in an epic tale. Following the journey of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945 mysteriously transported back to 1743 Scotland, the series stars Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Duncan Lacroix, David Berry, César Domboy, Lauren Lyle, Colin McFarlane, Caitlin O’Ryan, and more.
