Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Pattinson join comedy movie

Big-screen superheroes Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Pattinson are teaming up for Don’t Look Up director Adam McKay’s new movie.

A spokesperson for McKay has confirmed to The Wrap that The Iron Man and The Batman actors will lead an impressive ensemble cast in Average Height, Average Build. The black comedy film is also set to feature Zack Snyder‘s Justice League star Amy Adams, Rogue One’s Forest Whitaker and Till’s Danielle Deadwyler.

McKay’s script is a tongue-in-cheek story about a serial killer who manipulates politicians and lobbyists in order to pass laws making it easier for them to rack up their body count.

While no studio is attached to the project yet, The Hollywood Reporter speculates that it could end up at Netflix like McKay’s Oscar-nominated comedy Don’t Look Up. Production on Average Height, Average Build is scheduled to take place this summer in Boston.

Downey Jr has also lined up a new film project with Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, a remake of the classic Hitchcock thriller Vertigo. The Marvel actor has also recently debuted a completely new look while filming Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, alongside Cillian Murphy as the real World War II-era theoretical physicist of the same name.

Downey Jr is playing former UN Atomic Energy chairman Lewis Strauss, alongside a stellar cast that also includes Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek and Gary Oldman. Oppenheimer opens this summer at cinemas worldwide.
