He said, “Now, it’s a couple years on, and we’ve all been flying around doing various missions, trying to help the city of Philadelphia and the world at large, but, again, we’re all still kind of learning how to do that. Lots of growing pains. Not just in our own powers, but also figuring out our own identity between the two. Is it regular self, or super self? Super family comes with super problems, super drama. So, there’s all the little family tiffs and things we’re trying to figure out.”
Will Shazam Continue to Feature in the DCU’s Future Plans?
It remains uncertain how the Shazam franchise will progress in the coming years, as James Gunn has yet to reveal any specific plans for the character. Despite recent announcements from DC Studios regarding new projects, it is unclear whether Shazam will be included in those plans. Priorities for the studio appear to currently include the future of Superman and a possible project for Jason Momoa’s Lobos.
However, with Peter Safran as a producer on the Shazam franchise, it suggests that the films featuring Zachary Levi’s portrayal of the character may be among the most secure projects in the DC universe.
