The Last of Us Episode 5 HBO Max Release Date & Time

The Last of Us fans, brace yourselves! Episode 5 of the hit HBO Max series is set to air early this week, ahead of the Super Bowl. The episode, titled “Endure and Survive,” will be available to stream on HBO Max at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Friday, February 10, and it will also be available on HBO On Demand on the same date. If you prefer to watch it on linear television, its premiere will be on Sunday, February 12.

In the latest installment, Joel and Ellie find themselves in a sticky situation with guns pointed at their heads. The episode is directed by Jeremy Webb and written by Craig Mazin, who worked together on Episode 4. Although HBO Max has not released a synopsis for “Endure and Survive,” the preview hints that fans will learn more about Kathleen’s motivations and actions.

The Last of Us is a live-action series set 20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed. The show follows Joel and Ellie, a pair connected through the harshness of the post-pandemic America they live in, as they embark on a treacherous journey and face brutal circumstances and ruthless killers.

The series stars Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy Miller, Nico Parker as Sarah, Anna Torv as Tess, Merle Dandridge as Marlene, Jeffrey Pierce as Perry, Murray Bartlett as Frank, Nick Offerman as Bill, and Storm Reid as Riley.

The Last of Us live-action series is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television in association with PlayStation Productions. It is executive produced by Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin, game writer Neil Druckmann, Carolyn Strauss, Naughty Dog President Evan Wells, and Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan of PlayStation Productions.
