In a recent interview with /Film’s Ryan Scott, Winston Duke, renowned for his roles in blockbuster hits like “Black Panther” and “Us,” revealed his eagerness to step into the shoes of Gotham City’s legendary vigilante, Batman.
The actor’s aspiration to portray the Caped Crusader has sparked enthusiasm among fans and ignited a passionate campaign for his casting in the iconic role.
During the conversation, Duke disclosed his previous experience as Bruce Wayne in the “Batman Unburied” podcast, hinting at his familiarity and affinity with the character.
With the impending release of director Andy Muschietti’s reboot “Brave and the Bold,” Duke seized the opportunity to voice his interest in taking on the role of the brooding hero.
“Listen, man, can you start that [campaign]? [Laughs] I would say I challenge you to get on all these socials and push for me,” Duke expressed enthusiastically. “Get your community. I would love to. I would love to do that as Batman. I’d love any opportunity to explore new characters, to change narratives around some of these entrenched ideas of how these characters are supposed to look, sound, and perform. I’m all for it.”
